Today we are going to learn why food is important for our body.


And what is carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals,protein,fats,water,and why nitration in humans is important...
We know that we all living organisms need food to live and to survive....


why Food is important for Living organisms...?
Food provides the energy needed by living beings,to do work.it also protect us from different diseases and keep us fit and healthy.

All living organisms get their food plants,and animal's or their products.


Food from plants.. 
Plants make their food by utilising the energy of sun.Food is prepared by leaves of green plants it is then stored in different parts of plants..


Human beings, and some animals, eat these plants in one form or other...
cereal grains, like wheat, rice, maize, millets, are important sources of energy.


They constitute the major
components of our food. pulses, like green gram (channa) blackgram kidney beings (rajma), split red gram (arhar) red lentils(mansoor) and soybean are some of the important sources of protein in our dite.


Fruits,like mango, apple, banana, orange, watermelon, and melon are some of are good sources of nutrition...


Green leafy vegetables, like spinach, mustard, fenugreek,and many other vegetables, like reddish, lady ginger, turnip, carrot,and  brinjal, are obtained from plants..

we use oils like mustard oil,sesame oil, sunflower oil, groundnut oil, and coconut oil, These oils are obtained from plants and are the source of fats....



spices, like cumin (jeera), turmeric, black pepper, cardamom, chili, carom seeds, and cloves, gives flavor to our food and make it tasty...

 we need in large scale but vitamins and minerals we need in small amount alone with fiber and water. such dite is called balance dite...........

vitamins and minerals are required in minutes amount and essential for maintaining a strong immunity. 



building strong bones and muscle and also promote normal growth and development.


most vitamins comes from fresh, fruits and vegetables with some also found in fish, meat, dairy and maney more 


Minerals:  calcium and iron also help the body perform optimally.The best sources are vegetable, dairy meats and some fish.

some fats supplying food are diry food, meat, seeds, and nut, as vegetables oils. fats is digested into fatty acids,.


which are used as an energy source and to form cell membranes or they rebuild into fats that under the skin, insulates the body it help to keep our body warm.

Encreations: This is the last process where waste material is excreted from our bodies.

Nutrition in human beings is vital because of the three main reasons undernutrition includes problems like weight gain as per the age.


Can also causes micronutrition deficiencies or insufficincies.


Issues of being overweight obese and dite related noncomunicable diseases such as heart diseases stroke, diabetes and some concres.
