what is motion in science Types of motion class 6.

Today we are going to learn what is motion and types of motion in detail so first let's understand what is motion we study types of motion in this post.......

Covered topic
What is motion?
Simple definition of motion?class 6
Types of motion.

First understand what is motion? in simple way.

If any object is changing its position with respect to time. Then we will say that it is in motion.

In simple way If any object is keep changing its position then we can say it is in motion because it is moving...

So let's understand it by given example....
1) The blades of a moving fan is in motion....
Explain... because it is moving....
A child on a swing...
Explain... because the child is swinging to 'and fro, in a regular manner...

When any object is not changing its position then what we say it so we can say it is in rest.

So let's see what is rest? 🤷‍♂️
If any object is not changing its position then we can say it is in rest.

So I hope you understand well....
Now it's time to study what are the types of motion........

Motion is divided into number of categories.so let's study one by one...

Rectilinear motion.
If anything is going in a straight line then we call such motion as a rectilinear or a linear motion..🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️

Let's see it in simple way..
An object is said to have a rectilinear motion if it is not changing its position, and going in straight lines....

Curvilinear motion..
Have you seen a boy standing on the river, or near a pond and throwing a stone into it?🙂

The falling stones moves from one position to another in Curved line...this types of motion is called curved motion..

Periodic and non periodic motions..
Let's learn..one by one

Period motion
We know that the moon round that of  earth.it takes 30 days to complete revelotion. This motion is then repeated and the process go,and don't stop and then come in that place where he started this type of motion called period motion..

This motion is then repeated and the process go,and don't stop and then come in that place where he started this type of motion called period motion..

Non periodic motion.
non periodic motion Is does not repeat or does the repetition in a random irregular manner is know as non periodic motion.

So I hope you understand....

Force
A handcart is filled with a load.it is standing on the road.

Rohan and his friends push it hard. it starts moving.

The more they push, the faster is the motion of the cart. when they are joined by a third friend, the cart gets more push and moves still faster.

it is the push applied on the cart, that produces motion in it.

Again, suppose the door of our room has got jammed.

we try to pull it but it does not open. some of our friends then join us and help us to increase the applied pull.

The door opens. Here, it is the pull, applied on the door that produces motion in it.

These two examples show that motion can be produced in an object by giving a push to it, or by pulling it.

we can, therefore say that we can produce motion in a body by push or pull applied to it
